AzTrackDay.com Track Time - Policies

Payments & Refunds

AzTrackDay.com accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Cash. We accept credit card payment via the internet on this website and on our 24 hour telephone registration. When you have paid by credit card, there is a 4% chargeback if you request a refund.

Full refunds will be given only if cancellation is made 32 days in advance. This is based on a very simple formula, namely that we must prepay some of our events 30 days in advance. Cancellations after 31 days will be be granted credit for another track date, with exceptions to this rule reviewed on a case-by-case basis. No shows are NOT granted a refund.  Cancellations made under 48 hours prior to an event are considered a no-show and are not refunded.

All AzTrackDay.com venues have a "rain-or-shine policy" and if you do not wish to ride in the rain, you may accept a rain-check for 25% off a future event of equal or lesser value. AzTrackDay.com will call rain days, you must be present to receive a voucher.

Track Rules (safe entering, exiting, safe riding)

  1. Riders may only enter the course under the approval of the grid entry marshal or AzTrackDay.com staff.
  2. Riders exiting the track into the pit area or paddocks may only re-enter the track under the approval of the grid entry marshal or AzTrackDay.com staff.
  3. Riders exiting the course into a runoff area may only re-enter the track with the approval of a corner worker or track marshal.
  4. Any rider who crashes may not directly re-enter the track. That rider must wait for the crash vehicle to bring the bike back to the pit area. In addition, the rider must wait with the crashed bike and not attempt to cross the track or walk back to the pit area.
  5. No rider may, at any time ride in such a manner as to endanger life or limb of other riders, officials, or guests. Such riding includes blatant violation of flag conditions as displayed by corner workers. Riders who act in such manner and are reported to track officials or AzTrackDay.com staff will be ejected from the event, without exception or appeal.
  6. Only the registered rider may ride on the track during ride sessions.
  7. Any rider observed riding recklessly in the pit or paddock area may be ejected from the event. However, warnings will be given wherever possible for minor rule violations. Remember, we're here to have a good time, not police our riders every moment of every event.

Organizational Rules (Or how to get ejected from an event...)

  1. Alcohol and other intoxicants are forbidden in any AzTrackDay.com event. Any such substance brought to a AzTrackDay.com event must be brought to the attention of AzTrackDay.com staff who will then make a ruling on appropriateness (i.e. prescription medication, etc)
  2. Any rider found in possession of such substances at a AzTrackDay.com event will be immediately ejected, forfeit monies paid for track days and be barred from further attendance for 6 months. If the substance is a narcotic or other dangerous drug, the rider will be permanently barred from any future track events with AzTrackDay.com.
  3. Any rider who creates a disruption to the point that it interferes with the regular operation of an event will be subject to ejection.
  4. AzTrackDay.com reserves the right to refuse admission to any individual. Any individual denied permission to attend a track event will receive a refund unless the denial is for one of the reasons specified in this policy statement.
  5. Riders ejected from any AzTrackDay.com event forfeit any and all monies paid to AzTrackDay.com or its affiliates, associates, or sponsors.

Risk Awareness (Hey, this isn't bowling...)

This is the disclosure statement that you will be expected to sign prior to participating in one of our track events:

AzTrackDay.com, its associates, sponsors, and the local facility cannot assume any responsibility for any aspect of my safety and that participating in any motorcycle track events, I do so voluntarily on my own assessment of my ability, the course, conditions, and facilities, assuming all risk whatsoever. I hereby release and hold AzTrackDay.com, its associates and sponsors harmless for any injury or loss to my person or property, which may result. I understand that this is an inherently dangerous and life-risking activity and that I cannot hold AzTrackDay.com, its associates, sponsors, the local facility or person or any other person responsible for any injury or death resulting to myself or my property at any such events. Decisions made by AzTrackDay.com, associates, and sponsors will be final.

Crash Policy (It happens to the best of us...)

AzTrackDay.com must re-tech a crashed bike prior to it's return to the racetrack. If you re-enter the track without re-teching your bike, you will be asked to load up your equipment and leave the facility. This is for the safety of everyone.

All riders who have a crash must be evaluated by the on-site paramedic staff. If they determine you should not proceed with the day, their decision is final. If the paramedic staff determines you may physically return to riding, AzTrackDay.com STILL must approve your return to riding based on criteria which includes the manner of your crash, as well as the condition of your gear. This decision is made on a case-by-case basis. There is no appeal to this policy.

The bottom line...ride within your limits. If you don't know your limits, slow down.

Privacy Policy (No, we don't sell your information to the highest bidder...)

Here's the straight answer. We have been around the internet for a long time, and are sick and tired of having our information sold, given away to "third party" partners, getting "special offers", etc. As such, we are fanatical about security and the privacy of our customer's personal information, from using encrypted transmission methods in the payment areas to our commitment to keep your information safe and private. Period.

Rider Groups (No, it's not a free-for-all like WWF)

Beginner GROUP: Designed for street riders and first-time or nervous track riders. All riders in this group MUST attend the "New Riders Meeting" with an introduction to track safety rules prior to the first track session. This group recieves class room and on-track instruction, including critiquing of on-track skills. Instructors will accompany riders on all track sessions. Your instructor will supervise all passing. You should be learning how to enter and exit the track safely, and use of the flags and their meanings. Learn proper use of the throttle, braking, gear changes and selection as well as basic cornering techniques and body positioning. The pace is slow and easy. Everyone rides at his or her own pace with an emphasis on fun and learning.

INTERMEDIATE GROUP: This group is for people with enough track time that they are comfortable at an accelerated riding pace up to the beginning racer. Riders in this group will probably want to focus heavily on body position, setting up for turns on the racing line, and advanced throttle/braking control. Instructors will be available upon request whenever possible. Safe passing is permitted with at least 5 feet space cushion. The track tempo is intermediate to fast. No licensed racers permitted in this group unless cleared by AzTrackDay.com Staff. Riders in this group MUST wear a back protector.

ADVANCED GROUP: Intended for the club racer or very accomplished track rider. You will gain valuable track time preparing for your next race, or just enjoy further refinement of your skills. The pace very fast and there are no restrictions on SAFE passing. Riders in this group must be comfortable passing and being passed in very close proximity to other riders and at high speeds. Riders not keeping the pace and/or riding erratic lines will be policed out and returned to the Intermediate Group. Again, riders in this group MUST wear a back protector.

Rider Requirements

1. HELMET - An UNDAMAGED full-faced helmet.

2. GLOVES - Full leather gloves that leave NO EXPOSED SKIN on the hands or wrist.

3. BOOTS - Over the ankle boots, preferably leather.

4. LEATHERS - Full leathers are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged. If you don't own leathers, try to borrow a set or you can rent full leathers and just the pants if you have your jacket at the track for $25 - $35 per day (Supply is limited).

On-piece and two-piece Aerostich/Textile/Cordura/Balistic type Touring and Sport suites are acceptable as long as they have armor.

Bike Requirements

1. Your mirrors must be completely taped and folded in, if possible. Personally, I recommend removing them completely as it is one less thing to break if you crash.

2. Headlights and taillights must be COMPLETELY taped over. If you are leaving the turn signals on, please tape them over as well.

3. Make sure that all other fasteners (body hardware, brake caliper bolts, etc.) are properly tightened.

4. Tires must be in GOOD condition with plenty of tread remaining.

5. Chain or Belt must be in GOOD condition with no signs of RUST or DEGRADATION and adjusted properly.

6. All levers and controls must operate freely. Throttle must SNAP BACK to the off position when released.

7. Intermediate and Advanced Groups ONLY. If your bike is water cooled, Remove the anti-freeze and replace it with straight water, or water with a water pump lubricant such as WaterWetter by RED LINE.
